Veggie Bucks

“Veggie Bucks” is a C.S.A. program for 2009. You subscribe to the Veggie Bucks program and are helping the farm with support that we need to grow. Veggie Bucks members receive vouchers that they can spend at the farm all year long. There are no deadlines or expirations dates and you can spend the Bucks on anything we have to offer for sale (fruit, veggies, seedlings, meat, cheese, you name it). By participating in our Veggie Bucks CSA program you literally become (in the words of Slow Food founder Carlo Petrini) a co-producer.
Members also receive a newsletter, coupons and invitations to exclusive events on the farm.
Veggie Bucks also make great gifts!
Some Benefits of CSA Models and What You are Supporting by Participating in the Veggie Bucks program:
- CSA models keep food dollars in the local community and contributes to the maintenance and establishment of regional food production systems
- CSA models create opportunity for dialogue between farmers and consumers
- CSA models support the diversity of agriculture through the preservation of small farms producing a wide variety of crops
- CSA models create a sense of social responsibility and stewardship of local land
- CSA models put “the farmers face on food” and increases understanding of how, where, and by whom our food is grown.

With special thanks to Moon in the Pond Farm who’s CSA was the inspiration for ours.
